Meet John, our founder who dove into beekeeping and never looked back, developing a profound love and fascination for bees and the craft of beekeeping over the past 2 decades. His efforts, with the support of his fellow beekeepers, mentors, and loved ones, have spawned a unique company and product that embodies quality, authenticity, and connection.
Curiosity turned into cultivation.
John assembled his first bee hives during evening beekeeping classes in North Carolina. Continual dedication to learning, adjusting and refining his bee husbandry skills caused John’s bee hives to flourish in number and strength.
Then demand.
John quickly recognized the greater role honey played in people’s daily lives. It was not just an ingredient or part of a meal, it was a crucial source of nutrition, nostalgia, and satisfaction. It also went beyond the farm and home, and was sought after by athletes for its unique qualities promoting high performance and recovery. John found a niche market among tennis players and Olympic athletes and developed a reputation for being a helping hand to young rising stars in the sport, offering them jars of his 100% pure, raw honey from the back of his car at tournaments. This selfless generosity led to increased recognition and served as a springboard for his wholesome business endeavor to have a greater impact.
Then expansion.
John’s enterprise grew to include hives in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, and along with them grew his knowledge of honey —its diverse qualities, flavors, and taste—and its importance to an American made product and culinary staple. By trade, John is an Architect and Food Service Consultant, specializing in the food service industry, finding joy in the meticulous processes of building, creating, and producing from the ground up. His expertise in food service industry is extremely crucial where honey quality, taste, and handling are concerned.
